The PARRRT Program™

Don't Start Over. Continue Your Journey.

This isn't just prenatal training, and it isn't just postpartum training — PARRRT connects the two. A woman's fitness journey shouldn't stop when she becomes pregnant and start over after childbirth.

PARRRT™ is a proprietary training methodology developed by Thrive On Fitness — six connected stages, one continuous relationship with your coach.

One Journey. One Coach. One Program.

Pregnancy is a chapter in your fitness journey — not the end of it.

Your fitness journey doesn't end with pregnancy. It changes, then it continues.

How PARRRT thinks about training

  1. 01Pregnancy changes the training.
  2. 02Recovery temporarily changes the training.
  3. 03Then training progresses toward rebuilding previous capabilities and continuing beyond them.

The trainer–client relationship continues throughout — no explaining your history to someone new.

The PARRRT Program™ — FAQ

Your questions, answered honestly.

For many women, strength training can continue during pregnancy while being adapted to changing comfort, energy and capabilities. Every pregnancy is different, so what's appropriate depends on your individual circumstances and the guidance you receive from your OB-GYN or physician. The PARRRT Program provides fitness coaching, not medical advice or treatment.

In many cases, yes — with modifications. Load, exercise selection, positions and overall session intensity can all be adjusted as pregnancy progresses so training stays comfortable and appropriate for you. The decision to continue lifting is best made together with your healthcare provider.

Training can be adjusted continuously. Exercise selection, positioning, range of motion, tempo, load and rest periods may all change as your body changes — that's the Adapt stage of the PARRRT method in practice. Sessions are planned around how you feel week to week rather than following one fixed program from start to finish.

Programming can evolve across trimesters, but the timeline isn't rigid. Changes are driven by your comfort, your capabilities and appropriate professional guidance — not only by which trimester you happen to be in.

Frequency depends on your goals, schedule, training history and how you're feeling. Many clients train two or three times per week, with the number and intensity of sessions adjusted over time. Guidance from your healthcare provider takes priority.

Yes. Beginners are welcome, and programming begins from your current ability rather than a preset starting point. A conversation with your healthcare provider before you begin is recommended.

The timing is individual and depends on your delivery, your recovery and your healthcare provider's guidance. Training starts only once you have been appropriately cleared to exercise — there's no benefit in rushing the Recover stage.

Once you've been cleared for exercise and feel ready, strength training can be reintroduced gradually — typically starting with foundational movement patterns and progressing from there.

A C-section is a surgical recovery, so the timeline and the way training is reintroduced can differ from a vaginal delivery. Programming stays conservative and progressive, and follows the guidance of your OB-GYN or physician.

With progressive strength training: re-establishing fundamental movement patterns, building consistent technique, and then gradually increasing load and complexity over time. The pace is set by how you respond — not by a fixed calendar.

There's no universal timeline. It depends on your pregnancy, delivery, recovery, training history and consistency. The focus is on steady, measurable progress rather than promising a specific date or outcome.

Yes. Returning to training and progressively rebuilding strength is the R of the PARRRT method — Rebuild and Return — with programming that respects where you are at each stage.

It depends on your recovery, your clearance to exercise, your energy, your schedule and your goals. Many clients begin with one or two sessions per week and build from there as recovery allows.

Training pauses around delivery and recovery — the Recover stage of the PARRRT method. We plan for that in advance, so there's no pressure and no lost momentum: you simply pick back up when you're cleared and ready.

Yes. Continuity is the entire point of PARRRT. You can pause around childbirth and recovery, then return to training with the same coach who already knows your history, your capabilities and what you were working toward.

Those are medical and rehabilitation concerns. The PARRRT Program provides fitness coaching rather than medical treatment or physical therapy, so they should be assessed by your OB-GYN, a pelvic-floor physical therapist or another qualified professional. With their guidance, training can be programmed around your situation.

The PARRRT Program™ is a fitness and personal training methodology created by Thrive On Fitness. It is not medical treatment, rehabilitation, physical therapy or a method intended to improve pregnancy outcomes — and nothing here promises an easier pregnancy, guaranteed weight loss or a guaranteed postpartum recovery. Prenatal and postpartum clients should follow the recommendations of their OB-GYN, physician, pelvic-floor physical therapist or other qualified healthcare professional, and begin or resume training only with appropriate clearance.
